And she is off!
It amazes me how quickly our "babies" go from standing to walking. Our third "baby" recently began walking. I love her big personality and little independent attitude. (She is the third- so I guess she has to be to keep up with the other two.)
Just last month we made a family trip to Dinosaur World and I was able to snap a few shots of her walking. She wanted nothing to do with sitting but wanted to take off, hands in the air, giggling with every awkward step.
I love pictures like this of Daddy walking with his girls. It reminds me so much of God.
How often do we walk through times in our lives knowing that God is beside us, walking with us, and holding onto us? In my book, there are few greater images of his steadfast & patient love.
And then we may be walking through life a lot like in this picture. According to Sadie's perspective, she is on her own. All she sees before her is waiting for her alone to explore. She takes off full of eager anticipation and excitement. And then she stumbles. Little does she know, Mommy is right behind her every step of the way. And from Mommy's perspective, I can see farther than her little eyes can reach.
How often is that our view of God? We feel alone but through reading his word, being in the presence of other Christians, and taping into His Holy Spirit can we sense and see that He is with us every step.
"The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." -Deuteronomy 31:8
